I have one of the earlier versions of this axe and I have to say it is one of my favorite pieces. The fit and finish are excellent, The quality is top notch. Some have said that it is a bit on the heavy side I don't find this to be true at all. If it was a pure fighting axe that might be the case but these were all around axes that were used not only to fell enemies but to do camp chores as well. Great axe, great value
